Dr. McKenzie Sorensen is a San Diego native who brings a unique blend of scientific insight, artistic skill, and compassionate care to her work in dentistry. Originally drawn to archaeology while earning her BA in Anthropology at Rice University, Dr. Sorensen realized her true calling after studying ancient Mayan teeth during her undergraduate thesis. That early fascination with teeth led her to earn her DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, followed by a competitive General Practice Residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.

Today, Dr. Sorensen is proud to offer high-quality, conservative dental care to the La Mesa community. She is a member of the San Diego County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry, and she thrives on building long-term relationships with her patients through individualized, judgment-free care. Whether she’s providing a simple filling or taking on a full mouth rehabilitation, Dr. Sorensen approaches every case with integrity, attention to detail, and a genuine smile.
